Socialization (In-Kennel Only)
Our socialization program is beneficial and strongly recommended for both puppies and adult dogs preparing for competitive events. All competitive sporting events require a dog to be calm and to think clearly through a wide variety of situations. Because of this, we consider socialization and desensitization to be one of the most fundamental aspects of training a dog for competition. A dog’s excellent bite quality or keen tracking ability can quickly become insignificant if the dog fails to perform these tasks when frightened or agitated by some unfamiliar variable in its environment. Our socialization program introduces the dog to bicycles, large groups of people and kids, other animals, gun shots, etc., and most importantly, trains the dog to work through these distractions.
Additional Services
Following are some of the additional training services available:
² In-Home Training
² Suit Work / Hidden Sleeve
² Personal Protection
² Training for Special Scenarios
² Muzzle Training
² Group Sessions Available
All dogs are individuals and learn at different rates. Some dogs learn very quickly while others require more time and patience, because of this, we can only give an approximate time frame for the completion of our courses and cannot guarantee that your dog can or will obtain a specific title, degree, or rating. Also, your dog’s ability to retain what is has learned is directly related to your involvement in it’s training now and once it completes one of our courses. Please actively participate in your dog’s training by attending the handling lessons included with your in-kennel course. |
